DCI Dance Cancer Initiative

The Dance for Cancer Initiative (DCI) invited JYTSMP to take part in its fantastic event this year and we will be returning again in 2009. Dance for Cancer brings together dance groups from across Victoria to perform in a non-competitive environment. The performance is an amazing show with a vibe in the theatre incomparable to other dance concerts. The show is professionally filmed and later broadcasted on Foxtel’s Aurora channel. The event takes place at Plenty Ranges Arts & Convention Centre in South Morang. All money raised on the day from ticket sales and merchandise is donated directly to the Cancer Council Victoria. The money raised aids the Cancer Council Victoria in their endless good work in research, counseling and well being programs.
1 in 3 people are affected in some way by cancer, either directly or by knowing someone who has battled or is battling the disease. As dancers of JYTSMP this is our opportunity to help.

The JYTSMP Young Stars performed a medley comprising of ‘Please Don’t Stop the Music, Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, Justin Timeberlake & Avril Lavigne. It was a smash hit and was full of energy and entertainment. Cant wait for 2009!!!!
